  • Sept. 16 | by Gina Daniels, Director of Rehab Services, reminding us Wednesday is School Backpack Awareness Day and September being National Pain Awareness Month, helping us understand when back pain needs further treatment.

  • Sept. 9 | by Theresa Whelan, Auxiliary President, encouraging everyone to shop at the Books Are Fun fundraiser tomorrow.

  • Sept. 2 | by Kathy Weldon, Laboratory Manager, bringing us news about the last Health Fair offerings for 2015 on September 9th and 10th.

 

August:

  • Aug. 26 | by Mary Lou Brooks, R.N., Chief Nursing Officer, recognizing SMDH is now involved in the Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) program, and the difference in the Levels of care. " Our hospital is now applying for Level IV TCD designated center for STROKE at this time.

  • Aug. 12 | by Linda Knight, Radiology Director, going over the different exams we do with all the wonderful equipment we have at our hospital. Some of these exams are offered at a discount at our Health Fairs each year.  

  • Aug. 5 | by Vicky Loveday, Director of Dietary department, quickly covering all we do on a daily basis to have all meals prepared for staff, visitors, patients, as well as our residents in the Long Term Care unit.
