Salem Memorial District Hospital provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. We have certified Electronic Health Record to improve patient care and documentation.
Emergency room services are available on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis. Dial 9-1-1 for emergency transportation.

SMDH provides 6 station Medical Certified dialysis services for patients with End-Stage-Renal-Disease (ESRD).
Laboratory:
Our hospital laboratory is a specialized service, providing testing 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, to assure that patients' results are available as rapidly as possible. The laboratory is accredited and licensed by CMS. Comprehensive clinical testing services are available to anyone presenting with an order by a licensed health care provider. Services provided:
